Sometime they also call us marineros or sailors at the marina. My work is about helping boats dock and undock safely while ensuring the marina runs smoothly.

I assist boat owners with mooring and berthing, handle lines and fenders, and keep equipment in top shape. I have being doing this job for a long time as I like the sea. I also maintain the harbor log, keep an eye on safety systems, and make sure the marina is clean and free of hazards. Additionally, I respond to emergencies, check radio traffic, and ensure the facilities are well-maintained. It is not easy especially in the summer where there are a lot of customers and the conditions might not be ideal. But I really like it as it also has to do with customers ! Besides the physical work, I help customers by answering questions, giving them directions, and staying in touch with reception and supervisors

I am the first person the captain talks to when they reach the marina and I know most of them and their families as they keep coming back to our marina.
