D-Marin, which introduced maximum measures to ensure the health and safety of its employees and guests starting from the early days of the pandemic, is awarded the “Safe Tourism Certificate,” marking another first in its achievements. In the inspections conducted at the Göcek, Turgutreis, and Didim marinas, D-Marin was found to meet all requirements in these facilities.
The Safe Tourism Certification comes with strict requirements, including the appointment of a manager to oversee the entire process at marine tourism facilities to meet the expectations of the guests, preparation of protocols for all departments, training the employees on these topics, working effectively to implement the hygiene, disinfection, and social distancing measures, and completing the processes to mitigate COVID-19 infection risks.
The certification program, which applies to the facilities that hold Operating or Investment Certificate from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the facilities approved by the Ministry, was created by studying the best practices of the Ministries of Health; Family and Social Services; Labor and Social Security; and Agriculture and Forestry. The guidelines of the Health Ministry’s Scientific Board and World Health Organization (WTO), the provisions of the Turkish Public Health Law, Law No. 5996 on Veterinary Services, Plant Health, Food, and Animal Feed, and TSI 13811 Hygiene and Sanitation Management Systems, and insights from the national and international health and tourism industries were also taken into consideration.
